Event Details
The Tenement Museum's virtual tours offer a chance to 'visit' its recreated apartments from anywhere in the world. During this live, online interactive event, a Tenement Museum educator will share stories of the Rogarshevsky family who lived at 97 Orchard Street in New York City, using video, audio recordings, images, historical documents, and photographs. We'll learn how this Jewish family, who immigrated from Lithuania, earned a living in the garment industry in the 1910s, and how that work impacted their experiences at home.

This event is presented as part of the Yiddish Book Center's Public Libraries Program, a partnership with the American Library Association. Made possible by the Lilly Endowment, Inc.
