Join the Haunting Chapters Book Club!
Do you love spine-tingling tales, chilling mysteries, and thought-provoking horrors? Welcome to Haunting Chapters, where we delve into the darkest corners of fiction, celebrating horror stories written by women, LGBTQ+ authors, and diverse voices. Each month, we’ll explore haunting narratives that provoke fear and reflection, all while fostering a welcome and inclusive community of readers.
Whether you’re a seasoned horror fan or just dipping your toes into the eerie and uncanny, you’ll find a place here. Together, we’ll uncover the stories that linger in the shadows—stories that thrill, inspire, and stay with you long after the last page.
This month we will discuss Knock, Knock, Open Wide by Neil Sharpson. Dublin college student Betty Fitzpatrick is terrified when she learns her new girlfriend Ashling is convinced a seemingly innocent children’s TV show is responsible for the unspeakable horrors inflicted on her family, which opens a door between the known and unknown—one that can never be closed again.
Copies of each month's book are available on request at the front desk starting one month prior to the meeting. This book club is moderated by a volunteer.
