Event Details

We'll sit at the conference table in the Conti Room and read through the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Disgraced by Ayad Akhtar out loud, from start to finish.  The play reading group is moderated by a volunteer with a background in theater. 

In Disgraced, corporate lawyer Amir Kapoor is happy, in love, and about to land the biggest career promotion of his life. When he and his artist wife, Emily, host an intimate dinner party at their Upper East Side apartment, what starts out as a friendly conversation soon escalates. 

No acting required, just reading! Listeners are welcome too. Copies of the play will be provided by the library.
