Event Details
An educator from the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts will present Stories of Travel by Stagecoach & Horse. Explore the wide range of horse-powered vehicles that were on the road in the 19th century, what it was like to travel by stagecoach, and what it meant to have a horse as your “engine." Objects related to horse-powered travel from the METC Education Collection will be available for everyone to view and touch.
Adults, teens, and families with older children are welcome. This event is part of the library's celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. After the event, New Providence residents are welcome to borrow the library's Museum of Early Trades and Crafts museum pass, which provides free admission to two adults and all children under 18.
