T-Klez plays a full gamut of tasty tunes rooted firmly in the 19th and 20th century traditional klezmer (Eastern European Jewish) music repertoire, with deep bows to Hasidic traditions. The sound of this trio has been called singularly joyful and masterful.
Enjoy a smorgasbord of klezmer tunes from three centuries and three continents presented by three masters of the style: David Licht on percussion, Psachya Septimus on accordion and melodica, and Dobe (Dena) Ressler on clarinet. David Licht is a founding member of the world famous Klezmatics, and Psachya Septimus has played with Eitan Katz and recorded with Yaakov Shwekey. All ages are welcome! Dancing in the aisles is encouraged!
This concert is presented as part of the Yiddish Book Center's Public Libraries Program, a partnership with the American Library Association. Made possible by the Lilly Endowment, Inc. Everyone is welcome to attend.
