The Mason Room is the New Providence Historical Society’s climate-controlled archive of historical records pertaining to New Providence, which is located within the New Providence Memorial Library at 377 Elkwood Avenue.

Signs, Songs & Stories with Miss Cathy features stories, interactive rhymes, songs, sign language and movement for ages 3-5 (preschooler - K).

A book club with no assigned reading! Join us for a free bagel from NP Bagel Cafe and we'll take turns speaking about the books that we're reading/ have enjoyed recently.

Join Miss Debbie for an active storytime with songs, fingerplays, dancing and fun.  (For ages 18 months - preschool but older kids welcomed!)

In this fun "paws-on"  workshop, Amy Tefft, a Humane Society of the US certified Cat Behavior Counselor and Cat Sitter, will guide us on how to grow containers of cat grass.

Learn to play chess with the NP Chess Club! 

The club will present instructional lectures & strategy in the Conti Family Room.  These presentations are open to children, teens and adults.

Join Miss Cathy for a 5 week summer session on sign language.   Grades 3 and up.

Enjoy an entertaining and interactive show of impossible magic tricks and off the wall comedy all themed around color.  Conti Room.

In this club, you will gain hands-on experience in web development, learning the core technologies that power the web: HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), and JavaScript (JS).

Play chess with the NP Chess Club!

Weekly play every Monday night from 5:30-6:30.

All ages welcome. All children age 10 or under must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver at all times while in the building.

Knitters, crocheters and stitchers are welcome to come work on your works-in-progress in the Conti Room.
